Soups : 4
Savouries : 12
Desserts : 4



With just four of us for Christmas lunch this year we decided to roast two small chickens.

That way we all get a leg each!

Also, plenty left over for Christmas dinner pie on Boxing Day!

    A very belated Happy New Year (sorry, I've been distracted). May the sun shine upon you in 2025 and may you enjoy many fine meals along the way. I must say that 2 small chickens sounds a lovely choice for 4 people. We decided on the simplest possible (but tasty) Christmas dinner this year and, in particular, I'd recommend trying tiramisu as an ice cream for something to make in advance.

      The same to you, Phil. Tiramisu ice cream sounds wonderful!
      One of our guests doesn't like Christmas pudding so this year I did a cheat's crème brulée - using a ready made pack brought from France. They are remarkably good!
      As always I provided Christmas pudding for the other three of us and we love the leftovers. This year I made home made brandy butter: https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/brandybutter_2535
